13.1 IAU Commission 4 (Ephemerides) Business Meeting
The Commission 4 Business Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 9,
9:00-10:30.
Each member of Commission 4 may give a 5-7 minute presentation about
activity at his or her own institution; it is asked only that the
topic be somewhat related to ephemerides. You must schedule your talk

13.2 IAU General Assembly, August 7-18, 2000, Manchester, UK

Accommodation, meal packages, local tours and travel to the meeting
may be booked through the company managing the administration of the

MEETINGS TAKING PLACE
The core of the meeting (9 - 16 August) is organized around 14 Joint
Discussions (JD), most lasting for one day. Five longer Symposia (4 or
5 days) will also take place during the two-week period 7 - 18 August.

13.3 Resolutions from Colloquium 180
The resolutions from Colloquium 180 have been officially submitted to
the IAU in both English and French. They have been posted on the web
at http://aa.usno.navy.mil/colloq180/. They will be considered and
voted on at Joint Discussion 2 at the IAU General Assembly on Thursday
August 10.

13.4 Initial Resolution on Designations of Stellar Companions
The Resolution, the 3 designation schemes, and the program for the IAU
all-day session on Friday, August 11, are on the web at

Comments from members of supporting commissions (4, 5, 8, 24, 26, 30,
40, and 45; plus 15, 42, and 51) are encouraged.
